PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
To ensure timely processing of payments and system transactions, filing of tax returns, reconciliation of bank accounts and general ledgers and resolution of all outstanding as per set policies and procedures
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Preparation of Bank Reconciliations for all Head office Bank Accounts · Preparation of the BOU weekly liquidity return, extraction of the daily branch liquidity report, work as a bank agent, collect WHT and FD certificates in a timely manner and ensure that the withheld amount is offset against the tax to be paid, filing of treasury documents. · Preparation of schedules for the allocated asset and liability general ledger (NSSF provision, PAYE payable, Vat payable, withholding tax payable, Accrued Salary, Local service tax, Excise duty, Receivables Mobile money from MTN, Stamp duty provision and prepaid taxes). · Preparing adjusting journal for reconciling items resulting from the reconciliation of the Bank accounts and general ledgers. · Processing of NSSF, PAYE, WHT, STAMP DUTY, EXCISE DUTY, LST, VAT and other payments as per the set timelines. · Posting transactions to the core banking system and checking payments. Resolution of audit issues |

MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
· Advice and or sensitizing prospective and existing clients on BUBL’s loan products and cross sell other financial products and services. · Carry out training of clients on financial literacy and other relevant training. · Guiding clients to fill in loan application forms and attach relevant documents in line with BUBL’s loan requirements. · Conduct loan appraisals through undertaking field visits to loan applicants’ homes, agribusiness and locations of property/securities to be pledged to BUBL as collateral where required. · Disburse approved loans to clients on daily basis in line with the set performance targets. · Appraise loan applicants’ character, credit histories and conduct reference checks to ascertain willingness to repay the loan. · Monitor outstanding loans and performance of the loan portfolio daily. |
