    Fraud is a criminal offence that could tarnish the reputation of the bank and bank staff. BUBL does not tolerate fraud and will work in hand with the responsible authorities to bring the culprits to justice.

  • Security starts with you be alert and stay safe!

    • BRAC Uganda Bank will never ask for personal identification number
    • Do not disclose your passwords and PINs to anybody.
    • Do not assume a caller is genuine because he/she knows your banking details. Fraudsters could have basic information about you, such as your address, bank account number and details of recent transactions.
    • Fraudsters are luring people into disclosing their bank details. These details are the keys to your account security - do not let them in!
    • Keep your computer's anti-virus software up to date.
  • Be aware of consquences of fraud

    Fraud has the following consquences

    • The culprit loses his/her job.
    • The victim may suffer financial embarrassment due to unemployment.
    • Prosecution of culprits.
    • The reputation of all bank staff in the eyes of the public may be ruined.
    • The bank suffers financial loses making it unable to improve staff walfare.
