After a successful and extensive career in the telecommunications sector in Mauritius and South Africa, Domun undertook a career change to private equity in 2007. He became a member of Kibo Capital Partners, where he acquired extensive knowledge in deal origination, portfolio administration, and exits across various industries in Africa.

In 2018, he joined Verdant Capital where he spearheaded the strategy initiative to build a Hybrid Capital Fund for inclusive financial institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa.

In 2020, he became a member of Equator Capital Partners (ECP), an organization responsible for overseeing the management of the ShoreCap private equity funds. The present fund, ShoreCap III, allocates capital to the financial services sector across Sub-Saharan Africa.   Domun currently has a crucial role in supervising the identification and execution of business transactions in the West African region for ECP.
